Memorial Day

Memorial day- a time to remember those who bled and died for our freedom and so we might live today. I would like to thank all of the soldiers in our great country, America, who have paid the ultimate price, have given all, have gladly laid down their lives.

But somewhere over the seas, over 2,000 years ago. Someone else paid the ultimate price, on a hill called Calvary. Jesus, God's Son, died so that we might be free! He shed his precious blood so that we could have eternal life. He lives today! He reigns! He is still on the throne! Remember someone, somewhere has paid with his life so you might be free, like the song says-

Freedom Isn't Free!

Rebekah,

That is a wonderful and true statement: Freedom is not free! I actually preached a message at our church along that lines last year on July 4th weekend!

I could not find an e-mail address on your blog, so I thought I would jot you a line back here under your comments to tell you how much I appreciate your comments on our blog and about linking our blog on yours. I desperately need to update ours. Forgive me for the content being so old.

I do know your father, not as well as I would like to due to our schedules, but I have spoken with him a couple of times. Please tell him that I said hello!!!

The first time I heard of your church was not long after when my wife Grace and I moved to the area about 1 and 1/2 years ago. We were out making some visits in Fountain and stopped at a little country store there and the owner had some of your tracts. I noticed they were printed at "Crown" and picked one up for reference. I figured there might be a "kindred spirit" around the area.

Well keep the faith by winning souls and serving the Lord.

God Bless!

Pastor Michael Hildreth

PS. Pray for our Friend Day this Sunday May 31st!

That's pretty good, Rebekah! Alot of soldiers have gave their lives for us and so did the Lord. And it is true... freedom is NOT free.

Thanks for your comment Michael, I thought you had spoken to my daddy... But daddy said he didn't have your address so ya'll didn't get one of our youth rally fliers... sorry. I have heard great things are happening in your church, keep up the soulwinning. I know how hard it is, being a pastor's daughter, watching my daddy knock on door after door in this area. It can be a little discouraging... but remember if only one more soul were to walk down the aisle it will be worth it all! I'll be praying for you and your wife as ya'll continue to work and serve the Lord at your church and I'll be praying for Friend Sunday!

Thanks for the comment Brooke!!
