A Matter of Prayer

Hello Everyone,
Just wanted to ask everyone to please be praying for me... I have really been searching my heart about something that I felt God laid upon it a long time ago. I have been praying and seeking God's will in this situation. I ask that you would pray that God would show me His will, and continue to lead me in the direction I'm going if it's His will.

I have been praying for a while about this, and I just want to be sure that it is God's desire for my life...and not just my own Heart's desire. It really seems like God is moving in my life, and my prayers are finally being answered, But I need ya'll's prayers...

That the Lord will show me what His will is, what He wants me to do... in the next couple months...I'm really praying for this and I hope and pray that God will answer my prayers soon, and that if my desires do not match His will...then please pray God will change them and show me another direction to take.
Thanks for your prayers, I'm really trying to knock on Heaven's door with this matter...I pray the Lord will hear my prayer and have mercy on me...and answer them soon!

Across the Miles...There's Someone Praying for You

All around this world I've traveled
Through it all I've come to find
The ties that bind can come unraveled
I've had to face some lonely times
But when I'm tired and feeling low
Oh what a comfort it is to know

Across the miles there's someone praying for me
Across the miles there's someone on their knees
Lifting my name to the Lord above
In joy and pain I can feel the love
And see you smile
Across the miles

Life can be so complicated
Walking through it on your own
When kindred hearts are separated
It gives love a chance to grow
And even though I'm so far away
Oh I'm reminded every day

Across the miles there's someone praying for me
Across the miles there's someone on their knees
Lifting my name to the Lord above
In joy and pain I can feel the love
And see you smile
Across the miles

Here Am I

Last night we were blessed to have Bro. Brenson and Joanna Jennings, missionaries to Niger, Africa. It was really such a blessing to have this couple in our church and in our home.
It was such an encouraging service last night, he preached a very convicting and uplifting sermon...you could really tell he had a heart for where he was going, and he was willing to go anywhere for the cause of Christ.
Please do pray for them as they head off to the mission field soon.

I also enjoyed hearing how him and his wife knew it was God's will for them to go to this specific place. As Christian's that should be one of our greatest desires to know God's will for our lives. That is one of my desires, to do whatever He wants me to do, to go wherever God wants me to go, to always be in the center of God's will. Like the Preacher said last night, that is the best and the safest place to be, wherever you are..if you are in God's will, then you are in His hands, and No man can pluck you out!
So I asked myself last night, would you be willing to go anywhere God told you go?
And this song came to my mind...

So many lost and dying in this world today
Have you heard their crying
Or do you turn away
The harvest now is plenteous
But the laborers are few.
God needs some willing vessels to be used.

Here am I
I will go
I will reach the lost untold
I will give the Lord control
I will tell them of the crimson flow.

Is it too late for caring
Does Jesus really save
Are we truly praying
For the blind to find their way
Little children are falling into
A burning Hell
Will anyone heed the calling to go and tell?

For my Saviour died
On that old rugged cross
He thought of me when
He counted the cost
How can I say that I love Him
If I don't reply?

Here am I
I will go
I will reach the lost untold
I will give the Lord control
I will tell them of the crimson flow.

So Lord, Here am I...I will serve you here until you call me somewhere else, I pray I will always be in your will. I pray that my will, will never get in the way...As it so often tries.I pray that Your mighty hand of blessings will be on my life, and my familie's lives. We don't deserve you Lord, we don't deserve Salvation, we are so unworthy of everything you have ever done, we complain about the little things, and forget to praise You and thank you for being so good...But yet You keep blessing us.
I'll never understand, how a God so great...could love a sinner so horrible as me.
But I am so glad He does...I love my Lord Jesus Christ, and I praise His Holy Name, and I surrender my life to Him!!!!!!

What is Impossible with God?

I love this scene, I think I've said that before...But I just love to see how God blessed and answered prayer at the end. It just shows how God loves us so much, and how when we have faith... He really does answer prayer! I've seen some of those prayers answered the past couple of days, and I'm going to keep praying...Because I know that nothing is impossible with God!
Just remember that God will bless when you have faith and do His will~*
Keep the Faith and Have a Wonderful Night!

Preparing For Rain

Me and My Family just watched our Favorite Movie...Facing the Giants.
It is such a powerful movie, I can't get through it without crying..hehe
Sometimes I feel like David in the movie, I'm so small and I wonder how God can use me...Oh it is such an encouraging movie, because at the end God uses the little and the small to defeat the giants! I love the end of the movie where Coach Taylor goes to the team and asks everyone''What is Impossible with God?'' and everyone replies ''Nothing, Coach!''.
I wanted to share a part that stood out in my mind today...
Sometimes when you think I'm finished, what can God do with me?Or you feel as low as you can go...God sends someone your way, to Pray for you...to give you scripture...to encourage you to Prepare for Rain. Someone did that today for me...If we could only realize the Power of Prayer, Me and my Family have talked about this recently, we just don't pray enough...We should pray a hedge of protection around each other, around our church...around your Pastor.
I love this old man in the movie, He prayed for the Kid's as he passed their lockers, His prayers caused a Revival in that Christian School...What would happen if we prayed? If we had enough Faith to prepare for rain...and believe that God can answer our Prayers! I'm convinced God would work miracles in our lives...Here's the Video, that encouraged me today...I put the reverence he uses at the bottom, from the KJB...Enjoy!
Revelation 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

God is My Refuge

When clouds of doubt hover o're me
Angry waves toss me to and fro
There is a place I can go
He's the shield from every tempest
He's an Anchor that is sure in times like these
It's good to know

God is my Refuge
a Strong and Mighty tower
that I can run to
God is my Refuge
without Him what would I do

Once I wandered from His sheltor
Just ahead I could not see
Those dark clouds so heavy with rain
When the rains blew hard againest me He called out
And I ran to Him and now I am safe from the storm

Mountain Moving Faith

So Many Christians say they have Faith that God can move Mountains...
But have a Bull-Dozer at the bottom of the mountain...just in case.
I want to have a Mountain moving faith! I want to believe that God is going to do Great things in my life, going to answer some of my greatest...and smallest prayers. I'm claiming Mark 11:22&23...God can do this...I used to think, I know God can do anything, I know he can work miracles...but I thought, But God wont do it for me. Now I know that yes, God will do this for me...if it's his will. He'll hear my prayers, and I believe he will answer them!!!!
I'm gonna have faith, and I'm not going to doubt it in my heart....I'm not going to have an alernate plan, just in case~ There is Nothing too Hard For God!

God is Still Speaking..

I have heard this story so many times, But today a friend of mine Sarah Covey sent it to me....it again brought tears to my eyes. It is a wonderful story of how God can use his servants, if we'd only listen! He is still speaking today, if we would only listen, have faith, and know that it's God...Please read this story!!!and if you have a blog, email, facebook, or whatever...pass it on!!!
A young man had been to Wednesday Night Bible Study.
The Pastor had shared about listening to God and obeying the Lord's voice
The young man couldn't help but wonder, 'Does God still speak to people?'

After service, he went out with some friends for coffee and pie and they discussed the message. Several different ones talked about how God had led them in different ways.

It was about ten o'clock when the young man started driving home. Sitting in his car, he just began to pray, 'God...If you still speak to people, speak to me. I will listen. I will do my best to obey.'

As he drove down the main street of his town, he had the strangest thought to stop and buy a gallon of milk.
He shook his head and said out loud, 'God is that you?' He didn't get a reply and started on toward home..
But again, the thought, buy a gallon of milk.

The young man thought about Samuel and how he didn't recognize the voice of God, and how little Samuel ran to Eli.
'Okay, God, in case that is you, I will buy the milk.' It didn't seem like too hard a test of obedience. He could always use the milk. He stopped and purchased the gallon of milk and started off toward home.
As he passed Seventh Street , he again felt the urge, 'Turn Down that street.'

This is crazy he thought, and drove on past the intersection.
Again, he felt that he should turn down Seventh Street ...
At the next intersection, he turned back and headed down Seventh.
Half jokingly, he said out loud,
'Okay, God, I will.'

He drove several blocks, when suddenly, he felt like he should stop He pulled over to the curb and looked around. He was in a semi- commercial area of town.. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst of neighborhoods either. The businesses were closed and most of the houses looked dark like the people were already in bed.
Again, he sensed something, 'Go and give the milk to the people in the house across the street.' The young man looked at the house.. It was dark and it looked like the people were either gone or they were already asleep. He started to open the door and then sat back in the car seat.
'Lord, this is insane. Those people are asleep and if I wake them up, they are going to be mad and I will look stupid.' Again, he felt like he should go and give the milk.
Finally, he opened the door, 'Okay God, if this is you, I will go to the door and I will give them the milk If you want me to look like a crazy person, okay. I want to be obedient. I guess that will count for some thing, but if they don't answer right away, I am out of here.'
He walked across the street and rang the bell. He could hear some noise inside. A man's voice yelled out, 'Who is it? What do you want?' Then the door opened before the young man could get away.
The man was standing there in his jeans and T-shirt.... He looked like he just got out of bed.. He had a strange look on his face and he didn't seem too happy to have some stranger standing on his doorstep. 'What is it?'
The young man thrust out the gallon of milk, 'Here, I brought this to you.' The man took the milk and rushed down a hallway..
Then from down the hall came a woman carrying the milk toward the kitchen. The man was following her holding a baby. The baby was crying.. The man had tears streaming down his face.
The man began speaking and half crying, 'We were just praying ... We had some big bills this month and we ran out of money.. We didn't have any milk for our baby. I was just praying and asking God to show me how to get some milk.'
His wife in the kitchen yelled out, 'I ask him to send an Angel with some.. Are you an Angel?'
The young man reached into his wallet and pulled out all the money he had on him and put in the man's hand. He turned and walked back toward his car and the tears were streaming down his face. He knew that God still answers prayers.

If you aren't ashamed to do this, please follow his directions... Jesus said, 'If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father.'

Not ashamed....Pass this on.

He Still Speaks

Amidst the hustling clamoring world sometimes it's hard to hear
The voice of God speaking to my soul
But in my quiet time alone when I approach His holy throne
His tender words fall gently on my ear

He still speaks. I know his voice
Sweeter sound never heard by mortal ears.
And to think that God by his own choice
Would speak to me it makes me rejoice.
He still speaks. I know his voice

There are so many who still doubt that God can speak today

They laugh and mock when we say we've heard from God.
Yet, that still small voice of God is heard
Above the doubters of this world
His timeless words ring out with hope today."

Isn't it Wonderful to Know That He still Speaks...
I love this song, and I thought of it last night..We went to hear Bro.Shelton Smith and Bro.Joe Author and the Lord truly spoke to my heart!

The first message was so good, The Text came from Jeremiah 33:3...Can you believe that? The verse I have had on my mind for the past couple of weeks,'' Call unto me and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.'' It was like the Message was just for me! I know the Lord is going to hear my prayers, and show me Great and Mighty things!!! I am claiming that verse this year, I want to have faith that the Lord is going to bless me and my family this year...show us great and mighty things, things we don't even know can happen, bless us in ways we never imagined.

I can't wait to see whats going to happen!!!!

The other message, was on the 10 lepers,''Where are the 9?'' I have heard messages on this before but this one really spoke to me heart, too. He focused on the 1 that came back, and what if he had of been like the 9...Getting your eyes of the 9...As a Pastor's kid, that is a hard thing to do.

Well I guess not just Pastor's kids, but anyone in the ministry...there is always going to be the 9, that discourage the 1..that don't want to cause a scene, that don't want you get to excited over being healed, or their salvation, that don't want to humble themselves to thank the Lord, that complain about the one doing something for the Lord. We don't know why the 9 didn't come back, but we need to be like the 1 and not be discouraged by the 9...Thank the Lord for your Salvation, Serve the Lord even if no one else is!!!!Be the One!!!

Well I guess I shared just a little bit of how the Lord blessed me last night,
The Lord is So Good!

College Spotlight Of The Week #3 and #4

This is a post that is long over due. I've been meaning to do another college post for awhile now, so I thought I'd do two colleges this week, to catch up. The two colleges I picked this week are Champion Baptist College and Heartland Baptist College. I believe these colleges are great, Bible-believing, places, that are training young people to serve the Lord with zeal and enthusiasm!

So first Pray For Champion Baptist College...
Pray for Champion to continue to encourage, equip, and train students with knowledge and faith for Christian service, and to give them a compassionate heart for this lost and dieing world.
Pray for Pastor Eric Capaci, pastor of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Next Pray For Heartland Baptist College...
Pray for Heartland that they will continue to lift high the Christian standard, train students to win people to Christ and build New Testament churches, and encourage the development of Godly character and Christlikeness. Pray for Pastor Sam Davison, pastor of Southwest Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
