My19th Birthday Party

Well Today I had my party...and went shopping.

It was a really good day...I had fun, bought a shirt, ate a doughnut, went for some fish, opened lot's of presents...I still cannot believe I'm 19..well almost...3:45 tomorrow I will be anyway.

I think I'm really going to have a good birthday this year, I thank the Lord for allowing me to turn 19, for giving me such a wonderful life! The Lord is still blessing my life, and showing me His will for my life...Like the song says, Even though I don't deserve to live, my life has just begun...God has been sooo Good, and all I can do is Praise Him! When people have called me stupid, when my dreams have been broken and smashed, when my friends have left me, when I didn't want to live...God has been Good...and all I can do is praise His name!!!! I don't know what God has in store for my life..for this year, but whatever, whenever, wherever, I'll praise Him~

Growing Up A P.K.

Since I'm about to turn 19, I have really been evaluating my life... and what's the biggest part of my life? Being a Preacher's Kid!

I love being a Preacher's Kid, I've loved growing up in the ministry! I also want to make clear, that I love my church, and the people, the Bus Kids, and I want everyone to know, that I have learned from many past experiences, so many, I've been a Preacher's Kid all my life!

I've been at my church all my life, I've seen people come and go, I've seen buskids grow up, I've learned how to do so much.

But all the while, I love my church! I want everyone to know that.

I would never want anyone to think that I was unhappy, or hated being a pastor's kid.

I just want everyone to encourage and uplift their pastor. To serve the Lord in their church with a good spirit...Because that's what I'm trying to do.

Please know that I'm just trying to Live Joyfully in the Lord''hence the blog name''

that was my goal of starting this blog...To show people that you can be joyful while you live and work as a Christian. So I guess that's what I'm trying to get across...Live Joyfully~Focus on the Positive~Serve the Lord with Gladness~if your a pastor's kid, love every minute of it! Encourage your Daddy, lift up the members, do what ever your pastor says, work with the kids, Love every minute!!!!~and last but not least...Being a P.K. means your life effects alot of people, But remember to always honor God, serve Him, love Him, and strive to please Him!

Valentines Banquet 2006, Some of the Men trying to stuff marshmallows in their mouth... Bryant, the first guy and Grady the third guy actually hated marshmallows...but they were in it to win!!!!

This was Christmas Eve, everyone tends to act a little crazy on that day...and for some reason Donnie wanted to climb a tree~

Oh Tear;( This brings back memories...This is me, Sarah, Jennifer, and Jessica...an old friend who we had alot of good times with...I could cry looking at these...

The reason we look soooo crazy, is because Jennifer turned 19 and we had a little sleepover...but the reason we are dressed like Indians...Donnie and Jessica's brother Bryant were camping out, at about 10:00 we got all dressed up, and mama drove us to the edge of the woods we walked a little ways and spyed on them while they talked and sang, and looked up at the moon~

Then we got a little closer, they spotted us...they found their spotlight turned it on, but when they lifted up to shine it on us, it died! We heard them start to freak out, like ''I didn't see that bush before!'' we crouched down.. got a little closer...and then before we busted from trying to hold in our laughs, we started running toward them screaming!!!!

I think we really scared them, but they kind of got us back..they came up behind us on the way back to the car....we screamed(to make them feel better)Well enough about that story...


There they are, camping out with their Banjo and Guitar...Can't you see the fear in their eyes??

Forgiving Friends that Forsake God...

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart."

2 Timothy 2:15-22

I was reading this passage of Scripture the other day and I started thinking...

about some friends of mine in the past, who didn't flee those youthful lusts.

I have often cried and prayed for some of these friends, Maybe you've had some Good Christian Friends, or at least you thought they were that.. one day they just didn't seem to care about the things they had heard all their life, they want what they see, they want what the world offers..They give in to what they think is everything they ever wanted, But they end up losing all they had...

You know the world says'' Life doesn't come with a manual'', But they are wrong it does... God gave us a manual, His Word..the Bible. In those verses up there it tells us how not to become another Sermon illustration...How not to give into the world.. How to be Vessels unto Honor.

When some of these friends decided to try the worlds way, or they seemed to have forgot all the good times we had..all the goals we had set, meetings we had been to. It Hurt! But like it says in the Bible Nevertheless the Foundation of God standeth sure! I want to remain pure of heart, I want to flee youthful lusts...Because I know without God, I can make the same mistakes, and end up in the same place as others.

I still love those friends, who are not really my friends now... and I pray for them. I don't know why this has been on my mind lately, I felt like posting it...But it is Good to Know that God Forgives!!! Even when we are stupid, even when we sin, when we boast and are filled with vain, even when we are bitter and unforgiving, God Forgives!

Praise God From Whom all Blessings Flow!

Happy Birthday Papa!

Today is my Papa's Birthday. The Handsome Sailor in the picture above.

Everyday I think of my Papa, and everyday I wish I could see him and just tell him, I love him...one more time...I was his favorite...hehehe just kidding, but he sure made me feel special, Every time you went to his house you would find me sitting right beside him...eating a candy bar, and drinking a Pepsi. Even up to the last days...I loved sitting beside him, I loved everything about him...Well before I burst into tears...Happy Birthday Papa!

I love you, and I miss you so much!!!!

I can't wait to see you again in Heaven, I hope you have a wonderful Birthday celebrating there!
